Home page Site Map Printer friendly layout Passa all'italianoThere are many villas built as homes, from the fifteenth century to the nineteenth century, in the most beautiful countryside and the hillsides which surround Lucca.
The villas, summer homes as an alternative to the winter in the city, hidden by large tree gardens, were full of arcades, halls, frescoes and statues inside, and bath-tubs, fish ponds and lakes in the parks.
These "jewels" are often handed down from generation to generation, and they are still mainly private properties.

Opened from 10am to 1pm and from 2pm to 6pm from Easter until 1st November.
Closed Monday mornings - 24-25-26 and 31 December - 1st and 6th January.
In July and August opening times are from 10am to 1pm and from 3pm to 7pm.
From 2nd Novembre until Easter the Villa is opened only on Sundays from 11am to 1pm and from 2.30pm to 5.30pm.
It is always possibile to call for an appointment to visit both the gardens and inside the Villa.
